On Tuesday night during the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox game, drama ensued for a moment. Alex Verdugo and Alex Cora were ejected for arguing balls and strikes, Verdugo called the umpiring crew "soft" after the game, and before all that happened, Justin Verlander had some choice words for Cora.

Cora took exception to Verlander running down the pitch clock in the second inning and made his way onto the field to made a scene. Nothing new from this annoying guy, as New York Yankees fans know very well.

Speaking of Yankees fans, they desperately wanted to have fun with this. Two of their most hated rivals whining and the more hated side coming out with an L. Verlander was caught on a hot mic telling Cora to "f--k off" and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

But then delusional Astros fans, of course, had to get involved. Apollo Media took to Twitter to chime in on the back and forth and had the audacity to call Cora a "KNOWN CHEATER."

We're sorry, we just spit out our coffee all over our computer screen. Astros fans are throwing cheating accusations around to anybody else, specifically a guy who WORKED FOR THEM during their scandalous 2017 World Series season and was a known cheater IN THEIR UNIFORM?!

Yankees fans can't even have fun with Justin Verlander-Alex Cora NSFW moment

Are they referencing the Red Sox 2018 season that was also clouded by cheating accusations after Cora left Houston for Boston? Wouldn't that further indict the Astros?! How is this real life?

On any normal day, Yankees fans are fully on board with Verlander giving the middle finger to Cora and the Sox ... but now it's a wash. Now Yankees fans wish this didn't even happen because of how far Astros fans manage to retreat into their camp over something they were already objectively in the right about.

And to think we paid any sort of compliment to the Astros after this past weekend when they got swept by the Seattle Mariners and opted to address the clubhouse in a stern way while the Yankees lost eight straight and were doing nothing but shrugging.

Then again, this kind of ended up the way it always should've -- with both teams or fanbases in some manner being exposed for their stunning lack of self awareness.
