While Mike Trout may very well be the greatest player of his generation, Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge may be its most popular.

Having just eclipsed the 100 games played mark this season after missing time due to a significantly strained oblique, Yankees superstar Aaron Judge has still compiled an impressive campaign.

Across 441 plate appearances, the 27-year-old slugger is slashing .272/.382/.530 with 73 runs scored, 18 doubles, 26 home runs and 54 RBIs. In August, Judge became the third-fasted player in baseball history to reach 100 career homers (371 games).

Not only did Judge’s absence in the Yankee outfield not disrupt the club’s ambitions of winning the AL East, but it also didn’t dissuade consumers from purchasing his No. 99 jersey.

For the third consecutive season, Judge has the highest selling replica jersey according to MLB and the players’ association.

As for the rest of the list, it would appear the future of baseball is in good hands, as nine of the 20 top sellers belong to players under the age of 30.

Coming in at No. 2 is the $330 million-man and his new Phillies threads — Bryce Harper. Cody Bellinger is No. 3, followed by Javier Baez, 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich, Ronald Acuna, 2018 AL MVP Mookie Betts, Jose Altuve, Mike Trout, and Anthony Rizzo round out the top 10.

Rizzo is the only player in the top half that is 30-years-old.

Eleven through 20 includes a mixture of young guys and veterans like Yadier Molina, Clayton Kershaw, Alex Bregman, Pete Alonso, Freddie Freeman, Kris Bryant, Francisco Lindor, Paul Goldschmidt, 2018 NL Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom and George Springer.

Mets first baseman and likely NL Rookie of the Year, Pete Alonso finds himself one home run shy of tying Judge’s record of 52 long balls as a rookie. With three regular-season games remaining against the Braves, it’ll be interesting to see if Judge’s mark, which was set in 2017, is broken so soon.

After all, it took 30 years for someone to top Mark McGwire’s record of 49 dingers as a rookie.
