Class A: Charleston RiverDogs

Thanks to a day-night double header on the Monday, the RiverDogs played eight games over the past seven days. Unfortunately the team went 3-5 and their overall record dipped to 38-43.

Player of the Week: Collin Slaybaugh, 16, C

Slaybaugh started six games this week behind the dish, and recorded at least one hit in each game. He recorded back-to-back two-hit performances earlier in the week, and he’s now slashing .386/.449/.443 through his first 20 games with Charleston.

Pitcher of the Week: Jordan Foley, 22, P

Jordan Foley pitched a gem on Monday against Greenville, hurling 6.0 innings of one-run baseball, scattering seven hits and striking out seven. Thanks to four runs of offensive support, Foley earned his second win of the season with the RiverDogs.
