Hitter Of The Week- Jorge Mateo
Speaking of people who may replace Jeter, the 19 year old may be that guy. Mateo had two three hit games this week, including a homer. He also has 36 stolen bases in 44 games.
Honorable Mention- Dustin Fowler
Fowler continues to add to the Yankees collection of outfield depth. Fowler had three multi-hit games and two RBI. Charleston struggled this week and only won once, but Fowler continues to be a bright spot.
Pitcher Of The Week- Andre Del Bosque
Del Bosque picked up Charleston’s only win this week. In two starts, he went 10 innings, giving up eight hits, three runs walking three and striking out eight. He’s tied for second on the team in wins with three.
Honorable Mention- Luis Cedeno
Cedeno pitched well enough to win on Wednesday but Charleston couldn’t get him the run support needed. He went 5.1 innings giving up three hits and two runs. He’s tied with Del Bosque with three wins.
