A- Tampa Yankees
Hitter Of The Week- Tyler Wade
Wade was a bright spot in a quiet offensive week for Tampa. Wade scored twice, had five hits, walked once and drove in a run. Wade’s .320 average is fifth in the Florida State League
Honorable Mention- Michael O’Neill
O’Neill hit a walk-off homer in the 12th in game one of the team’s doubleheader on Thursday. O’Neill has struggled to get started in his 22 games with Tampa, but maybe this can be the start of something for the former third round pick
Pitcher Of The Week- Rookie Davis
Davis set a season high with 10 strikeouts on Saturday, going six shutout innings and gave up only two hits. He’s now fifth in Florida State League with 52 strikeouts
Honorable Mention- Gabriel Encinas
Encinas picked up one of the wins for Tampa in Thursday’s doubleheader sweep. Encinas went five shutout innings, striking out seven, while only giving up two hits and a walk. Encinas has struck out 37 in 28.2 innings while giving up only 14 hits in 10 games.
