Game Three

In the series finale matinee, the Yankees better hope they won the first two games of the series, because the finale isn’t going to be a walk through the park. Chris Sale will pitch for Chicago, and he sports a 10-3 record with a minuscule ERA of only 2.12. You want to talk about OWNING a team, Sale does exactly that with the Yankees. He’s a career 3-0 with a 0.85 ERA and 40 Ks against the Bombers. We can almost just mark this one with an “L” and move on to the make up game against the Royals on Monday.

The lefty, Chris Capuano will pitch for the Yankees. While he has pitched well, he is facing Chris Sale. One mistake could cost the Yankees the ballgame early. Cap failed to reach the 6 innings pitched mark for the first time in his Yankees’ career his last time out, leaving after 5 1/3 innings. He did record 8 Ks however, but he threw over 100 pitches in that short stint. In 10 2/3 career innings against the White Sox, Cap is 1-0, with a 0.84 ERA and 15 Ks.
