New York Yankees Game Recap: Yankees Get Eighth Win in Last 10 Games
By Jason Evans
The New York Yankees train just keeps moving right a long. The Yankees have done it all year with power hitting and power arms out of the bullpen and they followed that formula tonight as well as they beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 in another one run victory.
The Orioles called up Kevin Gausman to start tonight and the Yankees greeted him rudely. Jacoby Ellsbury led off the game with a double. Brett Gardner drove him home with an RBI single. Two batters later, Mark Teixeira hit his 24th homer of the year to make it 3-0.

Ivan Nova kept it that way until the third. J.J. Hardy led off the inning with a single and then Ryan Flaherty hit his fourth homer of the season to make it 3-2.
The Yanks came back in the fifth when Alex Rodriguez hit his 20th homer of the season. It’s the 16th time in his career he’s hit 20 or more homers in a season.
Nova was able to get out of a second and third one out jam without giving up a run in the fifth.
Chasen Shreve and Dellin Betances pitched spotless seventh and eighth innings.
In the ninth, Chris Davis hit his 20th homer off Andrew Miller to make it 4-3, but Miller would respond by striking out Jonathan Schoop to end the inning and give Joe Girardi his 700th win as the Yankees’ skipper.
The Yankees look for the sweep tomorrow afternoon at 1:05. Masahiro Tanaka will take on Ubaldo Jimenez.
