Within moments of Game 3 of the ALDS beginning, Toronto Blue Jays fans were walking around with their chests puffed. Boston Red Sox fans were treating a future New York Yankees loss like their Super Bowl. Man, how far that city has fallen the moment Tom Brady left town.
The Yankees trailed 6-1 after the top of the third inning. Dave Portnoy was laughing, acting as if he knew anything about managing a bullpen after watching 4.5 Red Sox games per year. Victory laps were being taken all over social media. Blue Jays fans couldn't gush harder over Vladimir Guerero Jr., who hit a two-run homer and then executed one of the most try-hard slides into home plate you'll ever see.
What happened after that, everybody? Red Sox fans, did you have your push notifications on? Or are those only activated for when something bad happens to the Yankees and you receive the bat signal to sprint to social media while you're sorting your Pokemon cards?
Oh, right, the Yankees erupted for eight unanswered runs, highlighted by Aaron Judge's most impactful playoff moment yet — a game-tying three-run homer with two outs and two strikes in the fourth inning.
From that point on, Blue Jays fans couldn't handle anything. Baseball viewing became Saw IX for them. You would've never known this team scored 29 runs in the first 21 innings of this series after witnessing how this collective group did a total 180 on social media, unraveling faster than a gambling addict on full tilt.
Are you fukin kidding me dude https://t.co/Q5C3vXdIQG

Yankees, Aaron Judge force Blue Jays fans into 180 meltdown with Game 3 comeback
To be fair, Blue Jays fans did get bent out of shape after their Game 2 victory because manager John Schneider ended up using seven relievers after starter Trey Yesavage went 5 1/3 scoreless and struck out 11. At that point, they were scared the Yankees' offense had woken up and felt prepared for Game 3.
Perhaps they weren't wrong but ... we didn't hear a peep about that after they jumped out to a 6-1 lead! We just saw brooms and snarky messages for over an hour and the game wasn't even a third of the way over.
John Schneider has never had a pulse on anything pitching related ever. Good thing he pulled Bieber so we can waste all our high leverage relievers before the bullpen day tomorrow only for the Yankees to tie it anyways.

Now we're talking about a 2-2 series tie before Game 3 even ends and Game 4 begins? You gotta love it. You've never seen an about-face this quickly. But we know who we're dealing with! The City of Toronto — where choking was born and persists to the utmost degree to this day.
The Yankees won 9-6. Jazz Chisholm's solo homer in the fifth gave them the lead and they never looked back. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays played sloppy defense (two errors) and Schneider used six relievers after removing starter Shane Bieber through 2 2/3 innings.
The first mistake was pulling Bieber, second was letting Barger into the game this fucking early, then you decided to pitch a guy against another guy who’s 2-5 with two homers against him. Like wtf how has John Schneider still not learned to coach…

And let's not forget the Blue Jays are set for a bullpen game on Wednesday! Schneider largely overworked this group the last two contests, so they couldn't be in a more precarious position. Meanwhile, the Yankees will counter with Cam Schlittler, who is fresh off an eight-inning scoreless outing that bounced the Red Sox from the postseason.
Anyway, let's check in with the Blue Jays admin account ...

Good night, everybody. We'll see you back at the Stadium tomorrow night. And if the series gets sent back to Toronto, expect to see a whole lot of wet pants north of the border in those following 48 hours.
