To call this season "lost" for the Yankees might be the biggest understatement of the year, but that doesn't mean we're going to stop watching and betting on their games.

Don't worry, we can bet on the Yankees in a sense without actually betting on the Yankees.

But, before I get into that, we should all be taking advantage of the latest offer by Caesars Sportsbook. If you bet $50 on this game (or any game) after clicking the link below, you're GUARANTEED to be given $250 in bonus bets. Pretty sweet deal, right?

Yankees vs. Rays prediction and pick

You probably have no desire to bet on the Yankees to actually win a baseball game, so I'm going to suggest something slightly different. Instead, let's just take the UNDER.

There are only two bright spots left on the team; Aaron Judge and Gerrit Cole. The latter gets the start on the mound today and he continues his Cy Young-worthy season. Let's go ahead and bet on him to have another lights out game and help keep the total to under seven runs.

Zach Eflin gets the start for the Rays and he was fantastic against the Yankees in his last start against them, pitching six innings of scoreless baseball.

It's also worth noting the Yankees bullpen has been strong this season as well. Over the last 30 days, New York is eighth in the Majors in bullpen ERA with a mark of 3.33.

Everything is pointing toward this game being a pitcher's duel, so let's sit back and root on Gerrit Cole by taking the UNDER in this AL East showdown.
