Yankees promotional schedule for 2023 MLB Season: Every giveaway & how to get tickets
UPDATE: The Yankees went ahead and went crazy, adding even more promos.
The New York Yankees' 2023 season is finally on the verge of beginning, which means new faces in new places. new schedules to memorize, and new giveaways to receive after standing in the scalding hot sun for 1.5 hours before gates open.
This year, the Yanks are giving away their patented bobbleheads to the first 18,000 fans through the doors on five different occasions. It goes without saying that, other than Old-Timers' Day on Sept. 9 against the Milwaukee Brewers, these bounceable dolls will be the crown jewels of the team's promo slate.
Unless you're super into "Yankees Oris Bear Mug Day" on July 23 against the Kansas City Royals. Not sure what a Bear Mug is or, honestly, what "Oris" is. Something tells me there won't be quite as hefty a retail market for that one.
The Yankees' full promotional schedule is still being fleshed out, but the five bobblehead dates appear to be set in stone.
How to get Yankees Bobbleheads for 2023: Schedule and Details
Date | Yankees Bobblehead |
---|---|
Fri., April 14th, 7:05 PM | Tino Martinez |
Fri., May 12th, 7:05 PM | Anthony Rizzo Mandalorian - Star Wars Night |
Fri., July 7th, 7:05 PM | Luis Severino |
Fri., July 21st, 7:05 PM | Nestor Cortes Jr. |
Fri., Aug. 5, 7:05 PM | Bucky Dent |
And, again, those are all for the first 18,000 fans through the gate. Will it help or hurt that all five dates are Fridays? Will people clock out of work early in order to get primo spots in line? Will the same 55-year-old bobblehead collectors who've been gaming the system for ages once again be spotted 30 spots ahead of you, sitting on a rolled-up sweatshirt, sun glinting off their bald foreheads? We'll just have to wait and see!
Tickets are available now directly from the Yankees, and it doesn't appear that the secondary market has caught on yet to the concept of Bobblehead dates as premium outings. That Friday night in August against the Astros still has tickets available for ~$50.
Show up early, show the Astros what Bucky F'in Dent is all about, and hopefully snag a midsummer victory.
