The New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics finish a three game series on Wednesday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

New York hung on to a solid record without Aaron Judge and will look to bolster its standing against the worst team in the bigs against the Athletics. The Yankees have had to tread water in the rotation as well, with Jhony Brito receiving starts early in the year, but he has struggled quite a bit.

However, against one of the worst offenses in baseball, can Brito put together a quality start?

Let's break it all down by checking out the odds:

Athletics vs. Yankees prediction and pick

The issue for the Yankees is that the team can't hit left-handed pitching. The team is awful at hitting lefty pitching, batting just .221 as a team.

The A's send out lefty Kyle Muller, who has struggled a ton this season. He has a 6.62 ERA this season, but a Fielding Independent Pitching (FIP) of 5.70, meaning that he has been a bit unlucky in the field of play.

The Yankees lineup is poor with Giancarlo Stanton sidelined and I can't bank on them to put up a ton of runs on the scoreboard, even against a leaky A's bullpen.

The same can be said for Oakland, though, who is hitting only .231 as a team this season.

Further, Brito should be in better shape sooner rather than later. While the rookie has an ERA north of 6.00 in his rookie season, his numbers are going to take off soon.

He got crushed by the Twins earlier this season, allowing seven earned runs in less than an inning. Outside of that, he hasn't allowed more than four runs in the other six outings, including one or fewer in three of those.

The A's won't put up much of a fight at the plate and Brito should begin to string together some positive starts, but the Yanks offense is going to struggle as well.

I'm going with the under, which is way too inflated given the state of both offenses.
