When it comes to social media, New York Yankees starting pitcher Cam Schlittler wants all the smoke. Schlittler went full troll-mode on Boston Red Sox fans following the 2025 ALDS when he took to X following Boston's elimination and rubbed salt in the wound of Red Sox Nation (in Schlittler's defense, he was reportedly avenging his mother's mistreatment online from Boston fans).
Well, a month later, Schlittler's back at it again, this time provoking Toronto Blue Jays fans.
Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler takes to Twitter/X to laugh at Blue Jays fans' pain
Less than 24 hours after Game 7 of the World Series, Schlittler reposted a video of a Blue Jays fan who apparently smashed his own television after losing $30,000 on the Game 7 result.

Schlittler hilariously used a video meme from the TV show Andor to indicate that he was delightfully laughing at the expense of the Jays fan's terrible night.
With the Yankees having lost to the Blue Jays in the ALDS, Schlittler trolling the Jays showed that he really doesn't take himself or the game too seriously (why should he?), which only made him more beloved by Yankees fans, and more despised by fans in Toronto.
It also illustrated that Schlitter is a master of social media manipulation, as he was able to shift some Blue Jays fans' attention away from the World Series and toward him.
One fan wrote in response to Schlittler's meme, "all this trolling is gonna be hilarious when you have a 5 ERA next year and yankee fans tell you to deactivate."
Yankees fans were loving it. "That is my (expletive) goat man," another user wrote in response to Schlittler.
Beef between Blue Jays fans and Schlittler promises to make this AL East matchup all the juicier in the coming years, starting right away in 2026. Of course, Toronto fans wouldn't be so annoyed by Schlittler if he wasn't -- in addition to being an elite troll -- an electric talent on the mound. Schlittler is coming off a season in which he announced himself to the baseball world as one of MLB's rising star arms, and he hasn't shied away from revealing his hilarious personality, either.
Don't expect Schlittler to be showered with roses the next time he takes the mound at Rogers Centre, which could happen when the Yankees visit Toronto for the first time in 2026 for a three-game series from June 12-14.
