Aaron Judge's new $20,000 diamond gavel necklace comes from a surprising source

All Rise for...who, exactly?

Here comes the Judge. In fact, you might see him coming long before he arrives, due to the splashy new diamond necklace he's been sporting in the shape of his trademark gavel.

But all rise ... on whose behalf, exactly? As it turns out, we have a different Yankees teammate to thank for the sparkly addition to Judge's wardrobe: Giancarlo Stanton, who just wanted to give him a special $20,000 something (as well as something flashy to wear that isn't an AL Championship ring). Not bad.

A New York Post exclusive published on Wednesday revealed that, while Judge was originally mum on the gem's origins, only noting that it was related to his All Rise foundation, Stanton is responsible for the impressive piece.

AJ Machado at AJ's Jewelry in Miami pulled the gift together - which should've been a dead giveaway, given Stanton's South Beach ties.

This insane piece features Judge's wife's name (Sam), his daughter's name (Nora), the date of her birth, and nods to Judge's dogs Gus and Penny, as well as his two MVP awards. And it's, like ... not that big. It's wearable during games. The level of detail is ridiculous.

Judge's 2024 season ended in what would've been elation for just about any other ballplayer, but seemed like heartbreak for someone so dedicated to his craft. Sure, he reached the World Series, but he didn't win it. Sure, he earned MVP honors in runaway fashion, but he felt he let his teammates down after generously shifting to center field in a season (almost) for the ages. Stanton had a ridiculous and gaudy October; Judge, generously speaking, did not carry the torch to the same degree.

And so, while recuperating from double elbow tendinitis, it seemed Stanton continued his streak of being an incredible teammate by giving Judge something to flaunt, knowing the non-flashy Captain probably wouldn't have taken the plunge to treat himself.

Stanton should be back on the field relatively soon, mashing in the same lineup with his body and hoping to keep the Yankees humming on all cylinders. This little peek inside the clubhouse shows that things appear to be running smoothly - remember when Stanton arrived in 2018 and people tried to manufacture beef between these two?! BEEF, I say?!
