New York Yankees star Gerrit Cole has been posting to social media and getting fans excited.
Earlier this week, Gerrit Cole drove his way up to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and pitched a bullpen session, which he documented on social media. It was easily the most excited fans have been all offseason (after, of course, Cole actually signing with the team).
Cole is intent on keeping Yankee fans engaged and the baseball world on notice amid the continued troubling negotiations between the MLB owners and players. He posted another picture on Instagram on Thursday and we’re surprised this one didn’t bring pandemonium upon the entire city of New York.
Fellow Yankees pitcher Adam Ottavino captured Cole pitching off of the mound at Yankee Stadium. It’s just as beautiful as you’d expect.

Ottavino has been training and practicing with Cole all offseason, as evidenced by the reliever’s Instagram, which documented the two playing some catch over two months ago.
He added to his gallery of offseason photographs with another snapshot of Cole on his own IG from Thursday.
With the Sinatra lyrics!! We can’t get enough of this. Just bring on the 2020 season, we don’t care how short it is.
Cole has been among the choir of players calling out commissioner Rob Manfred and the owners over the stagnant negotiations, letting everyone know that he’s ready to play — he just needs to know when and where.
The Yankees finally went out this offseason and spent big on pitching, which is something general manager Brian Cashman hasn’t done in years. The last few offseasons have been highlighted by trades and further developing the farm system to prepare for the future, which isn’t exactly indicative of the organization’s past aggressive behavior in free agency.
Fans have been deprived of seeing the team’s biggest investment in 2020, but Cole is doing all he can to make sure New Yorkers are staying entertained in some capacity.
