With the New York Yankees now in the postseason it is all about focusing on the Wild Card Game, which will take place Tuesday night (8:08 PM ET, ESPN). The game will be played at Yankee Stadium if New York wins one of their final three games or Houston loses one of their final two games. New York does have the one advantage of getting to set everything up while the Astros, Angels, and Twins currently fight for the second Wild Card spot.

Masahiro Tanaka is most likely going to pitch on October 6 as the starter, but I want to take a look at the bullpen. When general manager Brian Cashman was assembling this roster in the offseason, it was designed to win this kind of game by formulating a dominant bullpen with Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller in the final two innings of the game.

However, September has not been too kind for the Yankees’ bullpen. It is evident that outside of Justin Wilson, Betances, and Miler, Girardi does not have trust in any of the other young middle relievers on this team, whether it be Caleb Cotham, Nick Rumbelow, etc. This month, as a team, New York’s team ERA is 4.23, which is tenth in the American League and the third highest among playoff teams (Astros are 11th, Royals are 12th).

With that being said, who should some of the options be for Girardi out of the bullpen? Let’s take a look at who I think should be in the ‘pen for the one game playoff on Tuesday night.
