Trenton went 2-3 this week, dropping their overall record to 51-43 and slipping into a two-way tie for first place with Reading atop the EAS Eastern Division.

Player of the Week: Ali Castillo

Castillo has continued to swing a hot bat as of late; recording a hit in three of his five games played this week, while recording an RBI in each game. He is now batting .323 with a .725 OPS through 40 games with Trenton.

Pitcher of the Week: Mark Montgomery

It was a tough week in general for the Trenton Thunder starting rotation, so this week’s pitcher of the week goes to Mark Montgomery, who tossed 1.0 inning of relief and struck out two of the three batters he faced against Binghamton. Montgomery is now 2-1 with a 2.96 ERA and 10 saves through 27.1 innings pitched for the Thunder in 2015.
