This just in Yankee fans!
Alex Rodriguez has been nominated as a recipient for the Best Comeback Athlete award at the 2015 ESPN ESPY Awards!
A-Rod was nominated along with Rob Gronkowski, Derrick Rose and Lindsey Vonn.
After missing the entire 2014 season while serving his suspension in the Biogenesis Baseball Scandal, Alex is slashing .285/.384/.536 with 15 home runs and 42 RBI through his first 67 games since returning to baseball.
Over the weekend Alex became to 29th player in baseball history to record 3,000 hits. Interestingly enough, Alex joined fellow Yankees Derek Jeter and Wade Boggs as the only players to hit a home run for hit #3000.
One day later, Alex Rodriguez hit another home run for hit number 3,001.
His incredible performance this season is a true example as to why everyone deserves a second chance!
The ESPYS will air on Wednesday July 15th and 8pm!
