2. Marketing

I know Hal Steinbrenner’s is no the master marketer like his father, the late George Steinbrenner was, but this one is a no-brainier. The best player, playing in the best city, playing for the most historic team! Bryce Harper has been on the cover of SI since he was 16 years old. His at-bats in Washington are most watch TV. If he keeps up with his pace Bryce Harper will be having some career milestones later on in his career, and when the Yankees sign him in 2019 the organization will be able to help from the situation.

Harper will put people in the seats, and that helps the bottom line which is what Hal Steinbrenner cares most about. Not only will he sell tickets all of the merchandise they will be able to sell. Just this past year with Derek Jeter the Yankees sold all times of merchandise for the Captian’s final year. When Jeter had his 3,000 hit they were able to sell more t-shirts, collectibles, and many other items. Currently the Yankees do not have a marketable player, but Bryce Harper can bring in lots of money. Plus he does have some great hair, and it is sad he will have to shave off the beard.
