Ever since he was the New York Yankees first pick last season, everyone has been waiting for the pitcher they call the “Strikeout Factory” to come up to the show. Well, on Bernie Williams night tomorrow night, the factory will be opening up shop in the Bronx.
Lindgren is 1-1 with a 1.23 ERA in 15 games. He’s recorded three saves and has struck out 29 in 22 innings while walking just 10.

In 46.2 career minor league innings, Lindgren has 77 punchouts.
The Yankees will now be very lefty heavy out of the bullpen with Lindgren, Justin Wilson, Chasen Shreve and closer Andrew Miller.
Lindgren is holding lefties to a .135 average, but righties are hitting just .232 against him in AAA. This month, opposing hitters are hitting just .132 off the left-hander.
The Yankees have a lot of issues to fix defensively, but if they can correct that, and if Lindgren emerges, he could be the seventh inning bridge to Dellin Betances and Miller.
If the struggles continue, you have to wonder what changes the team will make next.
