P. Miguel Sulbaran

One year after being traded by the Dodgers to the Twins, the Twins shipped Sulbaran to the Yankees for infielder Eduardo Nunez. The Yankees may have found something in the lefty. Sulbaran isn’t a big strikeout guy. In AA this season, he’s struck out 21 in 35 innings.

Sulbaran just turned 21 in March and was just brought up to AAA Scranton and made his first start yesterday getting the win against Durham.

You won’t see Sulbaran in the top 100 prospect list. He wasn’t even on the Yankees MLB.com top 30 list.

If he continues to pitch well however, he could be on the Yankees radar if they want to go with someone else inside the organization to start games. Chase Whitley is going to be out for a while, so Bryan Mitchell is there as an extra pitcher and Ivan Nova is coming back, but you never know when they could use someone else.
