Pitching Matchup

Michael Pineda (2-2, 1.83 ERA) will be on the mound for the Yankees. In order for him to be successful he will need to maintain control of all of his pitches. After missing all of May, June and July, the Yankees will have him on a pitch limit, and hope he can get through the early innings quick and give them a good outing.

Chris Tillman (9-5, 3.73 ERA) gets the ball for the O’s, and is looking to continue is hot streak. Tillman hasn’t given up more than three earned runs in his last 10 starts. He doesn’t strikeout many batters, but he pounds the strike zone and lets the opposing team hit the ball.
