Yankees Must Work Fast Now To Bring Back Chase Headley
By Jason Evans
The market for Pablo Sandoval is heating up. Teams like the Red Sox, Blue Jays and Padres are trying to get the Kung Fu Panda to come to their team. Chase Headley is the next best option at third and if the Yankees want to compete next year, they have to lock him up now. Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal expands on this point below.

It’s not like the Yankees have Kris Bryant to plug in at third base and come right up. Dante Bichette and Eric Jagielo aren’t ready. Headley was excellent for the Yankees after they got him from the Padres last season. He seemed healthy, delivered some clutch hits and played some stellar defense at the hot corner. A switch-hitting bat with power can’t be let go of.
Alex Rodriguez can’t be counted on to start enough for the Yanks at third. He’s too old and we don’t know what he has. It’s time for the Yankees to kick it into gear on Headley and get a deal done before we all pass out after eating our weight in turkey next week.
