Hal “Expects A-Rod Back” In 2015
Yankees’ owner Hal Steinbrenner was asked by reporters about Alex Rodriguez‘s situation earlier today. His answer? “”We expect him back, that’s the plan.” According to the Twitter post of the New York Daily News
This shouldn’t come as too big of a shock to Yankees fans, considering A-Rod is signed through 2017. His return could also help a Yankee lineup that has been struggling offensively all year.

It will be interesting however, to see what the Yankees decide to do at third base next season. Martin Prado, who the Yankees acquired from the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline, has been playing right field, but is naturally a third baseman, and is signed through 2016. Also, Chase Headley, who the Yankees acquired from the Padres a couple of weeks prior to the deadline, has flashed magnificent leather at the hot corner since joining the team. He has also swung a good bat, but is a free agent after this year, so it remains to be seen what the Yankees will decide to do there.
All in all, Hal Steinbrenner, and Brian Cashman have some decisions/plans to make this offseason, but we now know at least, that A-Rod is a part of them.
