Mark Teixeira Speaks Out About Yankees’ Struggling Offense
It is one thing to hear from Yankees’ fans their frustration about how the team has done as a whole this year. It stings just a bit more however when your own teammate blatantly says how disappointed they are.
Mark Teixeira just happened to be that one. He expressed how disappointing the season has been. “All season long I think we’ve been disappointed,” Teixeira told Brendan Kuty of NJ.com. “It’s not like we’re going to find a magic formula. We’ve got to hit better, play better.”
As it is already halfway through August and playing time is running out, the Yankees better listen to Teixeira if they want any chance of coming close to making the playoffs. The team is simply going to have to play exceptional baseball day in and day out the rest of the season.
The Yankees season has been inconsistent to say the least. Just when they think they are on a tear, they lose a game and that turns into yet another losing streak. Everyone thought they were starting to get it together, after having taken three out of a four against a very powerful Tigers’ offense. Then, they face the first place Baltimore Orioles in the first game of three last night, and lose embarrassingly with a score of 11-3.

All the Yankees can do at this point is hope and pray that things will turn around. Carlos Beltran still believes that they can. “I still feel good about the team,” Beltran told Brendan Kuty of NJ.com. “I don’t know about you guys, but I feel good about the team.”
