Coming off Clarke Schmidt's near-no-hitter, the fervor for New York Yankees fans to watch their home finale with the Baltimore Orioles might be bubbling up a little harder than it was yesterday morning. Well ... surprise! It's an early one.
After playing a scorching hot 1:10 PM ET game on Saturday (worked out pretty well for the boys in pinstripes), the Yankees now get a better chance to beat the heat on Sunday with a morning first pitch as part of Roku MLB Sunday Leadoff.
The game may not be broadcast on YES Network, but you can still watch - for free - with or without a Roku device.
Here's how to watch Yankees-Orioles on Roku MLB Sunday Leadoff
Below is everything Yankees fans need to know about today's surprising early start:
- Date: Sunday, June 22, 2025
- Game Time: 11:35 AM ET
- Location: Bronx, New York
- Stadium: Yankee Stadium
- Local TV Channel: Not Available
- National TV Channel: Roku Devices
- Live Stream: therokuchannel.com
If you've got a Roku device, you can access the game from the "Sports" tab on the home screen - graphics will also be splashed all over the landing page. If not, you can visit therokuchannel.com for a free stream of the event, or download the Roku Channel app on your Amazon Fire device, Samsung TV, or Google TV. If you're out of market, you can also access the game on MLBTV; of course, if you're in the local market, you're blacked out there.
The most important thing to remember here is the start time; it's like being shocked by an NFL Game in London except, in this case, you actually care about one of the two teams involved.
Will Warren (4-4, 4.83 ERA, capable of throwing flames on any given day) will start for the Yankees, opposed by Dean Kremer (6-7, 4.80 ERA) for Baltimore. Anthony Volpe, after collecting three hits (including a homer) and breaking an 0-for-25 slump, will go forward with his pre-scheduled off day; he'll be out of the lineup.
Volpe's struggles made the opening game of this series torture, as did Gary Sánchez's resurgence. Saturday was a lot more pleasant. It'd be great to wrap this whole weekend up with an early bow.
