Jomboy's NSFW breakdown of Aaron Boone spitting in umpire's face vindicates Yankees

Typically, if you want to prevent Aaron Boone from getting enraged, it's not a good idea to tell the New York Yankees manager that you don't care about an unfair discrepancy in balls and strikes between two teams. You should care. You really should.

Boone served a one-game suspension last week for a dribble of spittle escaping his lips when he went to stare down home plate umpire Edwin Moscoso. That was a clear and easy gateway for MLB to impose its will on one of their least favorite managers/umpire menaces.

In reality, though, Boone only uncorked the NSFW language because Moscoso refused to call the same corners for both teams, squeezing Clarke Schmidt while allowing Orioles starter Kyle Gibson to have the pick of the litter.

Yankees stalwart Jomboy's lip reading of Boone's tirade, released on Friday, revealed that the Yanks' manager came armed with anecdotal evidence of four balls that should've been reversed, all of which benefitted Baltimore. When Moscoso accused him of getting his information from the iPad (which, by the way, backed him up, as shown in Jomboy's video), Boone went ballistic, assuring the umpire he had trusted his own eyes first. His eyes did not lead him astray.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone was correct in argument vs Orioles

"I don't care what the iPad is saying" is no way to go through life. You should always care what the iPad is saying.

Boone began the conversation from the dugout, assuring Moscoso that he was "just trying to help" and ... he was. He was also trying to get an edge, of course, but he was just hoping to even things out by the time the game reached the late innings. Unfortunately, Moscoso didn't take kindly to being pin-pricked and needled. The spit was the icing on the cake (yuck, very gross thing to type), and it all resulted in Boone being punished, Moscoso being able to irk Schmidt endlessly, and the Yankees losing an extremely dull game in which they recorded three hits (so a fairer strike zone might not have mattered anyway).

Still. Gotta let 'em know.
