Yankees fans might not be able to see Jasson Dominguez in game action for several more months, or own a piece of the scorched baseball he tattooed into the Crawford Boxes in his MLB debut, but they can officially nab The Martian's 2024 Topps rookie card as of Wednesday morning.

2024 Topps Series 1 dropped this week, kicking off the baseball season itch in earnest almost as much as pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training. Yeah, yeah. Some dudes soft-tossing footballs, we get it. Never mind that now, the new BASEBALL CARDS are here.

Dominguez, along with Elly De La Cruz and World Series hero Evan Carter, highlight the set's top rookie cards, affixed with the official logo and representing the best MLB players who debuted during the 2023 season. Last year's release calendar also featured 1-of-1 cards in Topps Chrome Update, which featured the actual debut patches players like Anthony Volpe wore during their first big-league appearances.

If this season includes the same game plan, that Dominguez card will cost the world's prettiest penny, considering his rookie cards, parallels, and autographs from Series 1 are already pricey and rising.

While the cardboard Dominguez hit shelves on Wednesday, the actual Dominguez appears to be ahead of the schedule his surgeons set for his much-anticipated return. The slugging center fielder reported to Yankees camp early, and currently plans to swing a bat by the end of spring training. At the moment, he's shagging flies, but anticipates ramping up to playing catch shortly.

Luckily, his MLB debut -- and debut patch -- are already in the books. Things went pretty well. Maybe you recall. The brief glimpse fans received last season has only heightened the hype train for 2024, and you'd be well-served by picking up his cards now before the comeback begins.
