The New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals are set to resume their tighter-than-most-expected series on Monday night in the Bronx.

Game 1 delivered everything any objective fan could've asked for, though fans of both teams involved probably wish there'd been a little less nerve-wracking sloppiness. Still, without a significant impact from Bobby Witt Jr., Salvador Perez, Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, the Yankees and Royals still registered a playoff-record five lead changes, and the game was in the balance until the final out.

You know what that means? You can't change the channel early, with Carlos Rodón and Cole Ragans set to toe the rubber Monday in Game 2's action.

This one begins at 7:38 PM EST, with Bob Costas and Ron Darling once again on the mic.

TV Channels Broadcasting the Yankees vs. Royals ALDS and MLB Playoffs (Where's TBS?)

This game will air on TBS nationally, which is channel 52 on Verizon cable setups in the New York metropolitan area (or, rather, 552 if you like crystal clarity in HD). TBS, typically, is known for "very funny" reruns of "Seinfeld" and "Friends," but carries national baseball (on occasion) during the regular season. And, now that October's night, the annual tradition of seeking out the oft-forgotten channel can begin anew.

But what if you're a Yankees fan who no longer has cable, and you're desperately searching for first pitch?

How to Stream the Yankees vs. Royals in the 2024 MLB Playoffs

The game will also be streaming on TruTV and Max, right next to "The Penguin." Additional streaming options include MLB.TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV (but you knew that already, considering that's how you've been watching TBS' "Big Bang Theory" reruns all along).

A long layoff might result in an amped-up Rodón for this one, so if you intend to watch, you probably want to navigate to the right channel before first pitch just to be safe. According to Aaron Boone,Alex Verdugo will start in left field for the Yankees once again after delivering the game-winning hit in the opener, so the least you could do is watch and see if the gamble pays off.
