The New York Yankees are poised to begin another playoff run in a matter of days, and say what you will about their World Series chances, but ... at least they have a chance. Sorry, Juan Soto.

This time of year, no matter how you actually feel about the current team, you can't help but get that little October glint in your eye. The bunting drops down over the stadium's overhangs. The turtlenecks come out in the dugout. The crips fall air hits the sleeves of your '96 Torre jacket just right, and you just ... well, you feel like beating the tar out of some less-gilded winners from the National League.

Over the course of the Yankees' illustrious history, they've won 27 World Series against 13 different opponents (in 13 different major cities). Can you name everyone who was crushed by the Yankees' machine? How quickly can you do it?

For reference, if you're trying to beat me - and I know you are - I was able to finish this quiz in 22 seconds with zero incorrect guesses, and honestly, I'm a little disappointed in myself.
