A fan in Houston just grabbed Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder/MLB icon Mike Trout's glove on a foul ball into the stands and pried the baseball out of it. Let's guess whether the reaction is as loud as it was when a pair of galoot Yankees fans tried to pull Mookie Betts' wrist off during the World Series! Any guesses?
The umpires, given the chance to review clear and obvious video evidence as Trout protested, announced that the play was fair (that play, again, was opening Trout's glove and yanking a baseball out of it).
Eventually, the fan was moved to a chorus of boos, but the call stood as a regular ol' foul ball. He wasn't even ejected. Just "relocated," per Angels beat writer Sam Blum, claiming that he was trying to protect his young son. By taking a baseball out of Mike Trout's glove and causing a conflagration? Alright, chief.
Anyhow, a chorus of boos! Interesting. You see, it's interesting because, after the two dorks grabbed and prodded at Betts, there was a loud reaction from all corners of the internet that they'd never seen something so ghastly in their lives. And the internet was right! It was horrible. Those fans shouldn't have been glorified, named, or spoken to. They were eventually banned from Yankee Stadium for life, despite knowing Gronk.
But some of those corners of the internet that admonished the Yankee fans were located in Houston. And when a Houston fan does essentially the exact same thing, that entire crowd boos when the offending fan is taken from his seat. Yee-haw! Hypocrisy! Who wants to bet he's allowed back tomorrow?

Yankees fans will despise Astros crowd's reaction to fan interference on Mike Trout
He could've really hurt somebody (somebody being literally Mike Trout), in much the same way the Betts goons could've really hurt somebody. One happened during the World Series, with the eyes of the world holding forks and knives, ready to feast on sad Yankee fans, who were trailing 3-0 in the Fall Classic.
And one happened on a random Saturday in April in a city where nobody has ever faced repercussions for their numerous baseball offenses.
It's no surprise. Houston's the national capital of "It's Ok If We Do It, It's a Baseball Crime if You Do It". Remember the "Yankee Letter"? Remember their gleeful joy at every scintilla of evidence that the Yankees maybe, might've, could've cheated? Their close readings of Carlos Beltrán noting that the Astros were "behind" upon his arrival?
Unsurprisingly, the 2017 Astros have never received the chorus of boos they deserve in Houston. But a dangerous fan being ejected, who learned everything he knows from the Betts Guys, elicits a Bronx Cheer. Fitting.
