Aaron Judge announces birth of daughter with outpouring of support from Yankees fans

How about something to celebrate, Yankees fans? Your captain just welcomed another member to his family! Aaron Judge announced the birth of his baby daughter, Nora Rose, on Instagram to usher in a happy 2025.

In less than a half hour, Judge got 76,000 likes and over 2,000 comments on the post, as he was met with a ton of support from Yankees fans, media members, teammates, peers, etc. There were some good jokes, too, suggesting the incoming dad strength will lead to an unforeseen MVP campaign.

Shortly after the conclusion of the 2024 season, it was revealed Judge's wife, Samantha, was pregnant with the couple's first child. Not long after learning of that news, Nora Rose Judge was born on Jan. 27, 2025. Because of Samatha's pregnancy, Judge was unable to attend the Baseball Writers' Association of America Awards dinner on Jan. 25. He accepted his awards in a pre-recorded video, acknowledging that he had to be with his wife at the time.

Back in 2021, fans learned of Judge's "secret" wedding in Hawaii that was unearthed through unofficial photos. Some of his Yankees teammates were in attendance. The next season, Judge brought home his first MVP award and secured a $360 million contract from the Yankees.

Though the 2024 season ended in disappointment after the Yankees were boatraced in the World Series, Judge captured another MVP and will ride the momentum of another major life moment into 2025 as New York looks to avenge their loss.

They've since re-tooled the roster following Juan Soto's departure and arguably have a team better fit to handle pressure-packed October moments, in terms of base running and defense. Plus, Judge will shift back to his more comfortable position of right field, where he's one of the best defenders in all of baseball.

Clean slate for the upcoming year. Judge is a dad. He's on the cover of the upcoming Topps Series 1 baseball release. All the man needs is an electric postseason to solidify his Yankees legacy. What better time to make that happen than after a crushing 2024 that's so far been followed up by a promising 2025?
