One 50-50 call going Boston's way after being sent to the replay booth in a Yankees-Red Sox extra-innings showdown? Fine. Two calls getting tilted in Boston's direction in the same inning, with the second one clear to anyone with eyeballs? Aaron Boone was completely justified in tossing his gum at the home plate umpire and getting run. DJ LeMahieu, who's never been ejected - never - also made the objectively correct decision in taking it to the first base umpire.

The New York replay center is supposed to be unbiased. It's also only supposed to overturn calls on the field when the umpiring crew's failure is plain and clear for all to see. Anthony Volpe darting for third base to kick off the top of the 10th inning was an absurd call, but he was called safe on the field. Might've been out. Might've been tagged. Either way, the overturn felt like home cooking.

Anyway ... Boone stayed in the dugout and kept his cool until DJ LeMahieu smacked a fair ball down the line with two outs. The umpires didn't see it that way. Neither did the replay booth. They upheld the call of a foul ball, which seems impossible.

Look at the ball! Look at where it is. There it is. What were the umpires looking at?

Some Boone ejections are dumb. This one was correct. It's fine.

Please enjoy Boone's rampage, followed by LeMahieu grounding out, then saying a lil' something to the umpire as he rounded first and headed back to the dugout.

Yankees get walked off by Red Sox after embarrassing missed calls in top of 10th

Anyway, you won't believe this, but with two outs in the bottom of the 10th, the man the Yankees traded to the Red Sox this offseason ... the man who "caught" Volpe stealing in the 10th (maybe) ... the man who the Yankees deemed so expendable they thought it would be a good idea for their rival to have him ... yeah, he walked them off with two strikes.

Aaron Boone, you have every right to lose your mind in the postgame. DJ LeMahieu, you can even say "frick" if you want to.
