Yankees Game Today: Yankees vs Braves Odds, Pitching Matchup, Starting Lineup, Predictions, Live Stream, TV Channel for Aug. 24
Rejoice, New York Yankees fans! The Bombers have won 10 straight games and are 73-52 after being 41-40 back on July 4. What a turn of events. They bested the Atlanta Braves on Monday night in a matchup of two teams on nine-game winning streaks.
Giancarlo Stanton put the Yankees ahead twice with a solo home run and then a two-run double before Gary Sanchez added two insurance runs with a clutch two-out single in the eighth. It ended 5-1 thanks to Jordan Montgomery’s solid start and a sterling effort from the bullpen.
At the moment, Stanton and Aaron Judge are carrying the offense with others contributing here and there. The Bombers are humming and for the first time in quite a while, they’re a truly scary opponent.

There’s value on both sides. Enjoy!

Yankees Pitcher Today
The Yankees will send Andrew Heaney (5-5, 5.51 ERA) to the mound to battle Charlie Morton (12-4, 3.47 ERA) with the Braves looking to salvage the season series split at 2-2. The bad news is that Heaney isn’t particularly good, outside of his recent dominant outing against the Boston Red Sox, while Morton is 4-2 with a 3.59 ERA and 1.16 WHIP against the Bombers.
Morton has twirled seven quality starts in his last eight outings, over which the Braves are 5-3, which should actually be better since he got three runs of combined support in back-to-back starts against the Brewers and Nationals. As for Heaney, before his Red Sox outing, he allowed 15 runs in his first 15 innings with the Yankees. Maybe he’s starting to find his footing, but the task doesn’t get any easier against a deep Braves lineup that crushes lefties (.260 batting average and .807 OPS in 2021).

Yankees vs Braves Prediction Today
It’s really hard to envision Heaney replicating his dominant effort (or something resembling that) against the Boston Red Sox last week, especially against a red-hot Braves team sending a veteran in Morton to the bump … and especially since the Bombers historically aren’t great against the right-hander.
New York may have neutralized the Braves on Monday night, but it’s hard to keep this lineup down two days in a row. Expect Atlanta to chase Heaney pretty early and come out with a win after Morton hangs on for a quality outing. 7-4, Braves win.
