The New York Yankees didn’t make things easy, as their victory on Saturday required some late-game heroics from Gio Urshela and DJ LeMahieu, but the Bronx Bombers managed to avenge a loss at the hands of the Oakland Athletics.

The Yankees have been struggling to put together consistent at-bats in the clutch, but they finally looked like their old selves on Saturday.

Considering how Oakland is once again fighting for a playoff spot despite a limited payroll, the team should feel good about themselves.

However, a home loss at the stadium would be killer for momentum purposes, so they need to find a way to take down Bob Melvin once again today.

What Time is the Yankees Game Today?

First pitch from Yankee Stadium is scheduled for 1:05 p.m ET.

What Channel is the game on Today?

Fans in the tri-state should tune into PIX, while fans in Oakland should turn on NBC Sports California. The game will also be broadcast nationally on TBS.

Yankees vs Athletics Odds Today

Per Wynn, the Yankees are -150 favorites. With a run line of -1.5 in favor of New York available at +130, Vegas seems to think Aaron Boone and the squad have righted themselves

Yankees vs Athletics Pitching Matchup

New York will start tall lefty Jordan Montgomery, who is 3-1 with a 4.20 ERA this season. Montgomery struggled in his last start, as he surrendered four runs in 5.1 innings against the Blue Jays in Buffalo. Will a powerful A’s lineup be any easier for him?

They will have a tough task ahead of them against Oakland, as A’s starter Sean Manaea has a sub-3.00 ERA this year. With two complete-game shutouts to his name this year, the former first-round pick is starting to finally make good on the vast reservoir of talent that he has infrequently tapped into.

Yankees Starting Lineup

Aaron Judge will return to the lineup, but he will be in center field to accommodate Miguel Andujar in left and Clint Frazier in right. Gary Sanchez will catch and hit third, while Giancarlo Stanton returns to the cleanup spot. Gio Urshela, yesterday’s hero, is back in the lineup after a piece of a broken bat hit him in the eye yesterday.

Prediction

The Yankees appear to have righted themselves on offense, to some degree, but Manaea is coming into this game white-hot. While the Yanks might be able to pull out a win, it would have to be a scoreline like 3-2, as Manaea will likely be able to have some success against an up-and-down lineup.
