Yankees star Luke Voit and his wife are pregnant! The slugger shared an adorable announcement in front of the Christmas tree.
It’s time for the craziest Yankees fans in the business to stop including Luke Voit in way-out-there potential mock trades, and to start congratulating Voit and his wife Tori!
The Voits announced on Wednesday morning that “Baby V” is on the way with a highly cute posed Instagram in front of the Christmas tree.
For me, Luke Voit’s Baby would be a terrible Christmas gift. But for Voit? It’s much more appropriate.
Voit’s already got the aforementioned Dad Strength on lock, which makes you wonder what the next level of that phenomenon is. He’s been a Dad, strength-wise, since long before he became an actual father.
Is “Grandfather Strength” a thing? Maybe “Bodybuilder Uncle Strength”?
During a shortened 2020 with the Yankees, Voit established himself as the team’s vocal leader during difficult times, and arguably grew into their second-most important hitter behind DJ LeMahieu. Ever the tone-setter, Voit socked an unfathomable 22 homers and knocked in 52 runs, only playing 56 games while battling an ever-present case of “foot stuff”.
We’ve been told that his plantar fasciitis has been resolved this offseason, and that’s a good thing, considering next year he’s going to have to be on his feet at all hours of the night, always ready with a warm bottle.
Luke and Tori Voit should absolutely be part of the Yankees’ core moving forward, and we hope Baby Voit gets raised in pinstripes for the next, oh, I don’t know, literal decade.
Congratulations to this lovely family, who we’re so lucky to have adopted over the past few years. Who knew how integral Voit would be to our success when he arrived as a throw-in in the Chasen Shreve salary dump trade with the Cardinals?
Here’s to many years of adorable family Christmases!
Yankees: No, NYY shouldn’t have signed Lance Lynn over JA Happ
No, the New York Yankees should not have signed Lance Lynn instead of JA Happ following the 2018 season. They made the right call.
