Masahiro Tanaka’s latest Instagram post has Yankees fans confused and laughing.

Just about all of Masahiro Tanaka‘s Instagram posts are related to his job or his wife, Japanese pop star Mai Satoda. And now that he’s about to his free agency, New York Yankees fans are on high alert for anything he puts out in public.

His posts over the last few weeks paying tribute to his seven years with the Yankees had everyone wondering if that meant he was signaling an end to this particular chapter of his baseball career. We still don’t know if that’s the case.

But what we DO know is that Tanaka is looking fresh beyond belief right now and he’s enjoying some Starbucks. Where in the world did this come from?

Translation: “Cold brew when ordering coffee.” Our guy likes cold brew. If anybody happens to see him between now and the start of free agency, PLEASE buy him the freshest cold brew you can find. If not, Tanaka can enjoy one from Starbucks if he’s still in New York since they’re … on every single corner in the city.

Maybe Gerrit Cole can help us out again and take Masahiro and Mai out for a cold brew double date. We could use an encore after the sushi date from last week that featured the Yankees pitchers and their wives.

Every little thing helps in getting Masa to return to the Bronx. We don’t know what the Yankees are going to do and we don’t know what kind of contract Tanaka will be looking for in free agency.

But another thing we do know? Tanaka will be working to up his game after he failed to be named a Gold Glove finalist this week.

Tanaka loves sushi and cold brew. He wants to win a Gold Glove and get better at pitching. New York (and the Yankees) can make all of that happen for the right-hander. We’re doing a good job of convincing ourselves, right?
