Yankees third base coach Phil Nevin got ejected at the end of Game 1 of the doubleheader.

Did we forget doubleheaders feature two seven-inning games now? I sure did! In the first matchup between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, JA Happ and the Bombers’ defense didn’t exactly help out the cause after they went up 3-0 early.

Fast forward to the bottom of the seventh with the Yanks down 11-3 (whoops!), and an Aaron Judge home run and a Thairo Estrada RBI single made it 11-7. Then, with two runners and one out, Mike Ford was rung up on an objectively terrible strike-three call. Who was the culprit?

You guessed it! Angel Hernandez. And he got an EARFUL from Yankees third base coach Phil Nevin, who had some NSFW words for the controversial umpire. Nevin was ejected, Miguel Andujar flied out, and the Phillies won 11-7.

Check it alllll out right here:

“That’s f–king bulls—!” Tell ’em, Phil! Yes it was! Hernandez, sadly, is certainly not helping his discrimination case with Major League Baseball, that’s for sure.

In this clip, you can more clearly hear Nevin put the cherry on top of the sundae before heading to the clubhouse. Enjoy a nice steamy shower big man, you deserve it.

The Yankees had a long way to go before making this a game. Down by four with two runners on and one out doesn’t exactly mean you’re about to seal the deal. But one more hit and a monster swing of the bat ties this baby up, so you can understand Nevin’s frustration.

For the sake of Hernandez and every Yankees fan out there, we can only hope he’s out in the field for the second game of this doubleheader or else Nevin might start breaking objects in the visitor’s clubhouse.
