New York Yankees star Aaron Judge was spotted taking full BP.

Aaron Judge’s injury situation went from entirely mysterious to completely resolved in about a month, per word of mouth. At the end of May, the Yankees star hadn’t swung a bat yet. Then, by report date, all indications were he was ready to go for Opening Day.

Skepticism was fair.

Luckily, for Yankee fans, we got some footage of Judge in the wild on Wednesday, taking to the diamond at Don Bosco Prep to take some hacks. He certainly appears to be a full go, to the naked eye.

Yup, those are the daddy hacks we’re used to from the big man.

Optimism increased for Judge’s participation in the 2020 season when he arrived in NYC, alongside Mike Ford and Tyler Wade, this past weekend.

It’s a tough situation — on one hand, the Yankees can’t afford to have Judge break down during such a short campaign, where he brings a sliver of a win above replacement to the table every time he takes the field. On the other, his recovery has certainly been tenuous, and the team has taken it slow — so why stop now? They need Judge available in October. If he needs his hand held for self-preservation, then we can’t ignore that.

All complications aside…isn’t it nice to see him unleash this monster swing again without being held back?

All Yankee fans are easy to please — we just want an accurate reason to rebuff Judge slander. He’s an icon because he’s one of the most valuable players in the game, but he’s also the latest in a long line of Yankees players who get hate simply because you hear their name so often.
