The New York Yankees’ player pool for the 2020 MLB season has been revealed.

Get ready to potentially see some electrifying young pitchers in 2020, Yankee fans! New York released its player pool for the upcoming season and there are a number of top prospects on there everyone’s been dying to see hit the majors.

While the Yanks still have two more players to add to this, it’s hard not to be excited by some of these names. New York also signed a couple of free agents — Matt Duffy and Max McDowell — and added them on there.

Check it out:

Top prospects Michael King (who debuted last year), Clarke Schmidt, Deivi Garcia, Luis Gil, Albert Abreu, Alexander Vizcaino, Luis Medina and Nick Nelson will be available to play for the Yanks this season.

King, Schmidt and Garcia are viewed as the future of the rotation, and hopefully the latter two can take on MLB talent for the first time ever. The only potential issue is that Schmidt has yet to reach Triple-A and Garcia got absolutely tagged in his cup of coffee with the RailRiders. But these are different circumstances.

Either way, someone’s gotta step up in wake of Luis Severino’s absence, right?

As for Gil, Abreu, Vizcaino, Medina and Nelson, they remain fresh as they continue to train and could potentially help out the pitching staff in wake of any issues.

With players beginning to arrive in New York to prepare for July 1 spring training part II, expect to see plenty of pictures and highlights of these guys in the coming weeks. Then, with the season starting on July 23, we’ll know the fate of some of these youngsters who may have a shot at making the 30-man roster.

Get ready for all of the uncertainty and unpredictability of this upcoming 60-game season!
