New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman looks like he’s been pumping iron nonstop.

Don’t remind Aroldis Chapman that Jose Altuve ended the New York Yankees season with a walk-off home run off the powerful closer, especially with the way he’s looking right now.

We’ve seen pictures of Chapman surface throughout the offseason and each one seems to take us more and more by surprise. Plus, we saw the downright frightening video of him boxing, with each and every punch looking like it could take your head clean off.

Now, he’s posting up in the weight room yet again, proving that he’s been ready for the 2020 MLB season to start for months.

That man is a pitcher? It’s truly hard to believe. The only other wildly jacked pitcher in MLB that immediately comes to mind is Cincinnati Reds reliever Michael Lorenzen, but he doesn’t look nearly as intimidating as Chapman.

Did we forget to document this video he posted of himself shirtless playing catch? He’s built for the octagon.

Just imagine how hard he will be throwing throughout the 60-game season? He won’t be slowing down a bit with 100 fewer games to pitch. That’s tremendous news for the Yankees bullpen and terrible for every opposing hitting in the ninth inning attempting to do anything in the batter’s box.

The 6-4, 212-pound closer has been an All-Star each of the past two seasons and has taken over closing duties admirably ever since Mariano Rivera hung up his cleats. Chapman is 13-5 with a 2.51 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 111 saves and 291 strikeouts in 198 games with the Yankees and was absolutely lights out in the postseason until that ALCS Game 6 on the road against the Houston Astros last year.

All he needs is a World Series with the Yanks to become a legend in the Bronx. The 2020 season seems like the perfect time to notch that accomplishment.
