New York Yankees pitcher Luis Severino popped into the team’s “At-Home Workout” video this week in a rare appearance after Tommy John surgery.

Yankees fans who spent the tail end of February distraught over Luis Severino’s Tommy John diagnosis had plenty of very different fears to manage, mentally, once the calendar changed.

But any news on the team’s No. 2 is good news right now, and eagle-eyed fans who troll the team’s social media for any whiff of an update these days were treated to a Sevy cameo in the latest edition of @Yankees’ “Stay Fit At Home” workout series.

Severino assisted strength coach Brett McCabe in demonstrating a workout so simple that any Yankee fan stuck at home can do it.

Or, you know, any Yankee ace in the early days of a grueling rehab process.

McCabe employed Severino here to show off his version of a Thoracic Rotation, a stretch meant to increase torque and tortion while we’re all confined to our home gyms. Of course, there’s very little stress on the elbow here, making it an easy task for Sevy these days.

Severino completed the task with ease, stretching against the wall from a seated position, “rotating his spine” following a reach with his right hand. The hurler elongated his full wingspan and held steady.

Luis Severino is back in action in some capacity following his late-February diagnosis, leading to Tommy John surgery.

Before signing off, Severino delivered a message of comfort to the New York faithful, stating,  “Everybody, take care, and we’re thinking about you,” straight to camera. It was part soothing message, and part reassurance for the viewer that this clip was taking place in the here and now, and that a key cog in the Yankees’ rotation moving forward is, in fact, back to work in some capacity following his reconstructive procedure.

Next. Could Yankee Stadium Reopen This Summer?. dark

Hopefully, we get to a place soon on a national scale where Yankee fans are most concerned each morning about Severino’s day-by-day progress once again.
