Yankees OF Aaron Judge’s girlfriend got herself into some trouble back in Feb.

New York Yankees fans are well aware of the troubles Aaron Judge has been dealing with this offseason. A couple of undetected injuries — a broken rib and a collapsed lung — were somehow unearthed a couple of months ago and he’s been out of action ever since.

But now his girlfriend has gotten into some trouble. According to court documents, Samantha Bracksieck, was cited for an “extreme DUI” in Scottsdale, Arizona. The 26-year-old was stopped on the night of Feb. 25 going 10 MPH over the speed limit without her headlights on, and that’s when police discovered she was heavily intoxicated.

The “extreme” labeling of the DUI means Bracksieck had a blood alcohol content between .15 and .19 when she took the breathalyzer test.

She pleaded not guilty, the case is still pending, and she could face jail time if convicted, according to the New York Post — the publication contacted a Scottsdale City Court official regarding the matter.

This is not the kind of media Judge needs at the moment, especially with the baseball world at a standstill due to the coronavirus. We’ve been keeping enough tabs on his injuries over the past few months, so a spotlight further into his personal life will only serve as more of a distraction as he looks to get back on track after a second consecutive injury-shortened season that was capped off by a poor performance in the ALCS.
