The Yankees host the Astros in a pivotal Game 3 of the ALCS at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.

When Carlos Correa hit a walkoff home run in the bottom of the 11th inning, the second game of the ALCS did not end the way Yankees fans wanted. Tuesday afternoon the Yankees will get a chance for a little revenge.

Game 3 is scheduled for 4:08 p.m. ET, televised on FS1. Gerrit Cole is slated to take the mound for Houston, with Luis Severino towing the rubber for New York. The key question, however, is whether Giancarlo Stanton will be ready to go for the Yankees after missing Game 2.

Astros vs. Yankees betting odds

The Astros enter the game as favorites, according to oddsmakers. They opened at -140, and the line has advanced all the way to -157, implying a 61 percent chance of winning. Betters who place a $100 wager on Astros to win will earn $64 for a $164 payout. Betters who take the underdog Yankees will receive $145 for a $245 payout if the New Yorkers win.

Astros vs. Yankees weather

Right now Tuesday’s weather looks good for baseball, with temperatures in the 60s and a clear sky, per Dark Sky. Looking forward, however, Wednesday could get a bit wet. Managers may anticipate the possibility of a day off as they make their decisions.

Astros vs. Yankees Game 3 pitching matchup

Right-hander Cole will get the ball for the Astros. Cole finished the regular season with a 2.55 ERA (3.38 FIP), striking out a tremendous 13.8 batters per nine innings (326 in 212 innings). He has faced the Yankees just once this year, earning no decision all the way back on April 9. He gave up three runs in seven innings, struck out six, and walked three.

Coming off of shoulder and lat injuries, Severino didn’t make his season debut until September, but he made the best of those three starts with a 1.50 ERA. However, he did not stick around past the fourth inning in any of those games. In his only playoff appearance of the year, Severino tossed four shutout innings.

Astros vs. Yankees: Will Giancarlo Stanton be ready to go?

Stanton missed the second game of the ALCS with a quad strain. Now the key question is: will he be able to play on Tuesday? Although Stanton was limited to just 18 games this season after a myriad of injuries, the former NL MVP’s presence would be missed in any team’s lineup. He went .300/.467/600 in four games during these playoffs. In his place on Sunday, Cameron Maybin went 1-for-2 with a walk.
