Though he’s grabbed a lot of attention on social media for his cryptic posts, on Tuesday night, the Yankees Clint Frazier let his talent speak for itself, hitting a home run and making two stellar defensive plays for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The Yankees currently have a productive outfield that consists of Aaron Judge, Brett Gardner and the platoon of Mike Tauchman and Cameron Maybin.

If someone would have told you back in March that Maybin and Tauchman would be filling in for the injured Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Hicks, you would have thought, how many games out of first-place are the Yanks — and where is Clint Frazier?

However, following the Yankees 9-4 victory over the Orioles on Tuesday night, marking their seventh-straight win and moving them 10 full games ahead of the Rays in the loss column, the Yanks are tied with the Dodgers for the best winning percentage in all of baseball (.655).

Therefore, Frazier’s recent post on Instagram of him sitting on the roof of a parking structure with a hoodie pulled over his face and a building in the background that reads ‘Scranton Life’ is precisely what the 24-year-old can expect, at least until rosters expand in September.

FYI, that photo has over 28,800 likes and 1200 comments.

Demoted in mid-June for a combination of defensive ineptness and attitude concerns, Frazier’s talent was on full display on Tuesday as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders took on the Charlotte Knights.

In the bottom of the third inning, Frazier displayed some of that “legendary bat speed” when he took an inside fastball and hit a line-drive missile over the left-field wall.

Then in the fifth inning, Frazier flashed the leather. With a man on second base, a ball was hit to shallow left. In came a sprinting Frazier who laid out to make the grab and save a run.

An inning later, Frazier charged a one-bouncer and threw a strike to home plate to nab the runner trying to score from second — promoting a sarcastic response from the RailRiders official Twitter account that read “clinT NeEDs tO WORK oN hiS deFenSe.”

Though Frazier went 1-for-5 on the night and Scranton would drop the contest 5-3, it goes to show that when Red Thunder keeps his head in the game, he can indeed be a difference-maker.

Next. Mike Tauchman has been quite the find. dark

Over his past 15 Triple-A games, Frazier is slashing .295/.348/.607 with five homers and nine RBIs in 61 at-bats while playing all three outfield positions.
