Yankees All-Star Aaron Judge wouldn’t mind if the Bombers signed another superstar; in fact, he might be willing to change positions if it happens.

New York Yankees right fielder and face of the franchise, Aaron Judge, says he would consider moving to another spot in the outfield if the team were to sign former NL MVP Bryce Harper, this according to TMZ Sports.

“Wherever he wants to play, we’ll make it work,” Judge said.

Judge also said in the interview that Harper may be better equipped to man center field.

With that being said, Judge has only seen eight innings of major league ball in center field, and it would be highly unlikely that the Yankees would move him there. Judge has also been a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for over the past two seasons.

According to Fangraphs, Judge saved 14 runs in his 90 games as a right fielder during his injury-ridden 2018 campaign.

As for Harper, the 26-year-old has played 184 games in center field at the major league level, with 63 of those happening last year.

Harper is also coming off the most frustrating season of his career as he posted a .249 batting average, but still led the majors in walks (130) and recorded a solid .393 on-base percentage.

The Yanks have not shown much interest in Harper up to this point in the offseason, as the former six-time All-Star is surprisingly still a free agent. However, if that stance were to change, Judge sounds like he’d be willing to do whatever it takes to make things work in an otherwise crowded Yankee outfield.

“Any time you can add an MVP to a team, it’s going to make them better,” Judge said. “So, it just all depends on where he wants to go.”
