With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s that time of year in which we sit down to think about what we are most thankful for. While common replies likely include family, friends, shelter, and food, there’s one more factor that needs to be added to this list: the New York Yankees.

It’s extremely easy to be thankful for players such as OF Aaron Judge, OF/DH Giancarlo Stanton, or RHP Luis Severino. However, we expect their respective production year-after-year. They are, in fact, some of the top players in the game.

Heck, we can even include GM Brian Cashman on this list. The man is truly a wizard in negotiating deals and facilitating transactions from behind the scenes (just look at the James Paxton deal). However, the point of this list is to narrow in on members of the Yankees that don’t quite get the attention they deserve. They aren’t unknown by any means, in fact, you probably see them often on the field!

But, they are the type of players that don’t necessarily get their image on the back page of the NY Daily News or the Post, per se. The types of players that get overlooked with multiple All-Stars on the roster.

I want the readers to get a better appreciation of how impactful these three players had been this past season, as well as their potential for 2019. Without further ado, these are the three Yankees that fans need to be more thankful for this holiday season.
