Former Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is on an absolute tear this week. First, he landed a cushy new gig, and now he’s got a smoking hot girlfriend! Some guys have all the luck.

Have we ever witnessed more of a career roller coaster than the one Yankees special advisor Alex Rodriguez is on? A-Rod, who is still getting paid $21.5 million by the Bombers to make special appearances around camp, may not have much free time in the coming months as it was recently announced, he would be joining Fox Sports as a full-time color analyst.

In a statement released to the media, A-Rod said:

"“I’m excited to continue working with the Fox Sports family. It’ll be great to get back on the set with the guys for the regular season and postseason, especially the All-Star Game in my hometown of Miami.”More from Yankees NewsCarlos Correa-Giants-Mets bombshell makes Aaron Judge’s return to Yankees even betterDid Yankees troll Jon Heyman with Aaron Judge contract tweet?Matt Carpenter leaving Yankees for massive raise is hard to argue withYankees top prospects butt heads after Giants’ gritty win over CommandersCC Sabathia defends Yankees’ massive Aaron Judge contract"

As the New York Daily News was quick to point out, the YES Network is owned by Fox, so maybe, just maybe A-Rod will call a game or two from the booth at Yankee Stadium over the course of his two-year agreement.

Following the Ka-Ching! of more money entering Rodriguez’s bank account, some more good fortune smiled upon ol’ No. 13 — as Page Six reported that he and actress/singer Jennifer Lopez have become an item.

Page Six said that the two have been dating for months and the man forever stuck on 696 home runs was recently seen backstage at her Las Vegas residency show.

Say what you will about the man who could have very well gone down as the greatest baseball player of all-time, sans steroids — but what an incredible story of perseverance and redemption. At 41, A-Rod is clearly on top of the world.

And even though he’ll likely never play another inning of Major League Baseball, Rodriguez won’t be fading away from the public eye anything soon.

With his growing brand, A-Rod Corp, which focuses on charitable works, memorabilia sales, and other philanthropic pursuits, there really is no stopping the fourth highest home run hitter of all-time.

At his current rate of success, I would not be surprised to one day be writing about A-Rod’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Don’t laugh, you didn’t see any of this coming either.
