4. Eric Jagielo
Jagielo was the Yankees first round pick in 2013. He was just diagnosed with diabetes last season, but has everything under control. Eric could have let that beat him, but Jagielo was strong and persevered. A feat that might go a long way in his major league career.
Eric Jagielo may not end up playing third base, which he was drafted as, but his left-handed power will be a major factor in Yankee Stadium. They may move him over to first base, but could have competition with Greg Bird, who is another Yankee prospect projected to make an impact soon for the Yankees. Jagielo’s problem with playing third base is not being athletic enough to be a solid defender. What makes Eric an interesting prospect is power. Being a left-handed hitter, his swing is built for Yankee System. Eric Jagielo could make the Yankees as a great bench player or a very solid designated hitter.
