As the 2015 MLB  Draft comes to a close the New York Yankees have continued their late round strategy of drafting right-handed pitching and began taking some high school and small college position players. They drafted 8 right-handed pitchers in rounds 26-41.

The one lefty coincidentally named Andrew Miller. The draft came close on the heels of the announcement that the major league closer also named Andrew Miller has gone on the DL with forearm tightness.

The rest of the late round draft class is made up of position players, most of whom are from high schools, many of whom have committed to colleges, so it will be interesting to see if they choose to go to school or to pursue a major league career.

One interesting pick is Alex Bisacca who has a 0.00 ERA in 2014, from a very small sample size of one game. I am trusting the scouts were able to find more information than I was on this player.

The most interesting name in the draft is arguably Icezack Flemming who was taken in the 26th round from Cal State Los Angeles. No word on if he is ice-cold, but he does have a 2.58 ERA in 2015.
