This season we’ll be brining you, the fans, a brand new series that highlights the New York Yankees minor league system. At the culmination of each week, our staff here at Yanks Go Yard will give you our take on one minor league batter and one minor league pitcher at each level of the New York Yankees farm system who we think deserves to be honored as player of the week. With the new youth movement and Brian Cashman’s revamped strategy to place more an emphasis on our prospects, we all have a bright future to be excited about. We’re hoping this new series will provide some insight and raise awareness about the players who will one day don the pinstripe uniform in the Bronx as well as keep you all up to date with our entire minor league system through the season. From Charleston, South Carolina to Trenton, New Jersey and over to Scranton, Pennsylvania, it’s time to watch the future of the New York Yankees develop right under our own eyes.
